This Section of the Energy Efficiency Manual organizes and explains the methods of improving the efficiency of motors, pumps, and fans. These are the most important individual energy-using components throughout commercial and industrial facilities.

This Section presents the energy conservation measures that apply to motors, pumps, and fans individually. You can accomplish these energy saving improvements without become involved with the systems in which they are installed. Most of hese efficiency improvements apply to the design of new buildings and plants and to upgrading equipment in existing facilities.
